My choice

There is only one photo I could haven chosen for today and that is of

Me and my new great grand daughter

She was born the day before we went over to France so we didn't see her straight away.
On Monday she will be 5 weeks old and is still a tiny little thing.
Her mum had to have a caesarean a week before her due date.
My first meeting with Ashleigh

Morning me

Today has been hectic as I was helping at a Launch of the new Preston Branch of the Coeliac Group then on to a barbeque at my daughters house. The Launch of the group was very successful, with lots of people attending and lots of manufacturers giving away goodies.
It was lovely at the Barbeque as we got to see great grandchildren and grand children but now I am really tired.

Morning me
Not a very flattering picture as I don't look my best in the morning especially when I've not had much sleep

Busy Me

As I am retired I don't have any photos of me working but I do have one of me helping at Shauns.

We had filled this trailer up 5 times before the tractor got a puncture and couldn't take any more away

Social Me

I went to my craft group for the first time for about 2 months and had a great time.
I did some more of George Pig and a little of our communal rag rug

Family Me

I haven't a photo of all the family together so I chose one of me with some of the little ones at our wedding anniversary party

Monday Selfie

Not exactly a selfie as Roland took the photo.
Knitting an arm for George Pig
This is my crafting at the moment and I am enjoying it
as I can do it while I'm watching TV or as a passenger in the car.
This one is for Oliver and I will put this photo on Facebook so he can see nana knitting the arms.
I've had quite a good day today as I went for my monthly massage for Gail and now feel quite chilled.
Gail gets cross if I don't relax after my massage so I am doing as I am told.
Didn't take a photo though as I hadn't seen this weeks prompt until I got home.

Sunday Abstracts

No new abstracts today, just pictures of where some of my abstracts came from.
I really enjoyed this week it certainly made me look at things in a different way.

The glass in our folding cupboard door
The front of one of Olivers lorries
The speaker for the computer that we still use
An LED light in our kitchen
And finally a photo of my knitting before they wing
their way to their owners
One more in progress two more to go

Thursday Abstract Close ups

Well I have finally got around to my abstracts.
I've done some gardening today, just a bit of weeding and tidying up but there is still lots more to do.
We also went car hunting as we would like a car with 4 doors and a less road noisy as we are doing a lot of travelling. I think Roland has seen the one he likes but watch this space.
My Abstract Close ups so far
I'm finding this fun.

Transport

It has got to Thursday and I haven't posted until today. I don't know what happened but my excuse is I've been busy. Not doing much but it has taken me all day each day.
It is lovely over here, so peaceful. There is a lot to do on Shauns land so I don't think we'll be doing much sight seeing this visit. I think I've caught the sun today and I wasn't out in it very long.
I haven't got much variety of transport but I'll try to find some more before the week ends.

Fabrics

A great deal has happened since I last blogged.
On Tuesday we set off for France. We stayed in Ashford in Kent for 2 nights so we could see Lynn and Peter.
It was lovely to see them. We weren't with them very long but I think we talked all the time we were together. We had a meal in a café that did gluten free food then had a good look round
I managed to take some photos for the challenge while we were there.

I don't wear anything like this any more but I can still admire them

Floral
This is a skirt I bought last year and have never worn - not sure if I ever will.

Wednesday we travelled under the Channel - something we had never done before.
We drove through France to Orleans and stayed in an Ibis overnight
We thought the roads were very quiet and later discovered it was a French Bank holiday.
We travelled down to Shaun and Fionas on Friday, the roads were still quiet but there were one or two lorries around.
Yesterday ( and today)Roland helped Shaun out and I pruned a Rambling Rose.
