Red

Red
I haven't any red in the garden at the moment
but I'm hoping to plant these seeds so we will have lots of red this summer
Oliver and I planting the sunflowers he grew from seed.
The cake Oliver iced and ate yesterday

Today Jo and I went to the cinema to see the Postman Pat movie
then we came home and Jo and Oliver played together all afternoon.
We then had a visit from Jayne, Leo, Amber and little Leo so it was a very lively afternoon.

White

It's been a dull and quite cold day today even had some rain.
Tonight I went to meet Gluten Free friends for coffee.
We had a brilliant chat about the launch of the new Preston group of CoeliacUK.
It is so exciting and we are having lots of donations from manufacturers.

Blue

I am so lucky, I seem to have been able to take most of the photos for this weeks challenge without leaving the garden.

Catherine came today and we sorted through another box of photos and did lots of reminiscing.

Blue
Bugle
Its  flowers are almost over and the plant is sending out shoots.
I have to be ruthless with it and thin it out or it would take over the garden

Saturday Drinks

Naughty but (N) ice
No ice but we decided to open this bottle while Roland was watching the Cup Final.

It was a present for our anniversary from some friends.
It's called Yellow Tail
Never heard of this Brand before but it is bubbly.

 Cheers
 Oops
and I've not even had a drink.
It is a bit too tart for me so a mouthful is enough
Arsenal and Hull are 2-2 so are now playing extra time.
I am now going to start my Scrapbooking Lay Outs for this month.

Friday Drinks

Wednesday
We met Catherine in town and of course had to go for a coffee.
In St Georges Shopping Centre Costa have a café in downstairs in the rotunda.
I love Costa and collect points for a free coffee.
I've lost the photos I took but I have found some more that Roland took when we were away.
At the café

I've just finished the second Pepper Pig so there are now "twin sisters"
 Thursday
We had an exciting evening today.
We went up in a hot air balloon at Lake Windermere.
The weather was perfect. There were 16 passengers and we all helped assemble the balloon (except for me who took photos) then got in the basket to take off. It was a tight fit but that meant when we landed we didn't bounce around.
The views were magnificent and we flew over the lake towards Kendal. We went up to about 2000 ft and were in the air for about 1 hour.
Naturally I took lots of photos.
I'm only posting one today and I'm calling this one.

Tuesday Drink

Yesterday I finally cleared the table of the photos and it is back in the kitchen. I have only sorted the photos that were on it into rough order and put each pile into large envelopes ready for better sorting.
Now I have to take the boxes upstairs as I've decided I haven't time to sort anymore before our holiday.
Today I've done some gardening, got some rockery plants in and tidied up a bit, done some more Pepper Pig and been to the doctor. It seems that the Arthritis in my knee is getting worse. He has prescribed me some painkillers - which I don't want to take - to see if they get rid of the pain.

Monday and Tuesday
I have a cup of decaf tea in the morning when I get up and in the evening before I go to bed.
I know you shouldn't drink tea at bed time but I have got into the bad habit of taking a cup of tea to bed with my book.

Monday meal

We've been away for a long weekend and just got back today ( Tuesday). We went to stay with our friends, Karen and Chris, in Eskdale Green in the Lake District. Chris is the younger brother of my first husband and he and Karen supported me and the family through a very bad time. When I met Roland they got on with him like a house on fire and we have been friends with them ever since.
On Saturday we went up to stay with them because Chris was having a retirement party. He has worked in a signal box for about 40 years, First in Great Corby then at Sellafield  station.
Today is the first official day of his retirement.
I wasn't sure if I could get my laptop on internet up there so I didn't take it with me - so lots of catching up to do.

Our Evening Meal
on Saturday

Yesterday we went to visit Laura and Andrews farm. Rowan, who is two took us round to show us the farm. He helps his daddy around the farm and his job is feeding the hens and the ducks and he is getting very good at it.

It is a hill farm and the sheep are Herdwicks.
I love the black lambs

Friday Signs

I went into the ME Office today to help put the news letter and the notices for the AGM in envelopes. they have to be posted by the 7th May so we needed to get them done as it is Bank Holiday weekend.
On the way there I looked out for signs and found these:

Play on Words

A pottery studio
