A Quotation

First post this week for me.
This morning Roland showed me a beautiful Peacock butterfly in our garden. What it was doing there at this time of year I don't know, but it was having a wonderful time sunning itself in the lovely sunshine.

I even managed a short walk through the park today. It's amazing what a bit of sunshine can do.
There was obviously nothing found from my CT scan as I now have an appointment for an ultrasound.

Has anyone heard from Anne? I am quite worried as I know Rhea was not well last week.

Affairs of the heart 3

I 'm still not feeling too good, this bug has really got hold of me.

I've been thinking about Valentines days and realised it has never been really important to Roland and myself. We tend to surprise each other at different times over the year.
We give each other little presents like cards that have a sentiment in or flowers or a trip to the theatre but the biggest surprise was when we were in America in a shopping precinct and passing a jewellers. Roland suggested we went in and have a look round. While we were there he bought me an eternity ring that goes perfectly with my engagement ring.
I love small stones as my fingers ar short and a large stone looks clumsy to me.

Affairs of the Heart

Yesterday we went to a first birthday party. Little Leo was 1 year old. We took Oliver and when we got there Leo and Ambers 3 cousins were there along with lots of adults. The house was heaving.
Little Leo is teething and had a really bad cold so he wasn't very happy but we managed to catch him at a happy moment.

Amber has just enjoyed Leos chocolate birthday cake
and is trying to clean herself up.

I'm still thinking about Valentines and my best friend. I'm very lucky that I still contact people I have been friends with since school but I couldn't honestly say which one is my BBF.

Impossible and View challenge

So many things can be thought of as impossible until you've actually done them.

I was married for 14 years to a man who was a drinker, a womaniser and a controller. We got married because I was expecting our first child and I believed marriage was for life. It wasn't until our life started affecting the children that I realised I had to do something about it even though I was pregnant. I thought it would be impossible to manage with 3 (4) children on my own but I knew I had to do it. It was very hard work but it wasn't impossible and it was the best thing I ever did in the end. I needed lots of therapy for many years that have helped me to help the children and myself.

We were on our own for 8 years, Shaun and Catherine had left home and I met Roland through friends. I never wanted a deep relationship again but I thought it would be nice to have someone to go out with now and again. 25 years later we are so happy together I would never have thought it possible

So that is my Impossibles in a very small nutshell and I thank God every day for my life as it is now.

Back Home

Well, here I am back from our hols in Tenerife. I've been for my CT scan and am waiting for the results and have a stinking cold which feels like flue. I am really not feeling like blogging at the moment so will have a great deal of catching up next week.
We had a great time in Tenerife, it was lovely to see Pauline and John again and wander around old haunts.

Last Rainbow

My gastoscopy didn't find anything so I'm going for a scan when I get back from holiday. I can't believe that tomorrow morning we're going to Tenerife. We'll be setting off at 4am and won't be back until the13th.
I probably won't be able to post while we are away so I'll see you when we get back and I'll catch up then.
