November 26th 2015

I've really neglected my blog lately. When I couldn't get my photos down loaded I gave up.

We had a lovely time in France. Daughter, Catherine, joined us for 10 days and we did a bit of sight seeing.

Since we got back I have had 2 lovely busy crafting weekends but unfortunately I picked up a bug somewhere and have not been well since. I am just beginning to feel a little better now but still feeling weak.

I will down load France photos over the next few days.

France 2015

I've been meaning to blog since we got here but I've only got round to it today. It is a while since I last blogged and so much has happened since then I have forgotten quite a great deal of what has been going on.

Last Day of June

On Wednesday 17th June or little Saoirse, slipped on the kitchen floor and broke her leg. It was an awful day she ended up in the childrens ward with her leg in traction. She and her mum were there for a week while they waited for the swelling to go then exactly a week later they put both legs in pink plaster and sent her and her mum home.
The poor little might was very frustrated not being able to get around and made life hard work for her mum but yesterday she discovered she could shuffle around on her bottom so is much happier.
Meanwhile her big brother Oliver has been staying with us so he can get some sleep (she is waking up a lot in the night and screams)and granddad can take him to school and pick him up.

June 2015

June is nearly over and quite a great deal has happened this month.

Earlier this month Roland went to the hospital about his aneurisms. The doctor said that they didn't want to do anything at the moment but would keep an eye on them. They said they would do another scan next year.
I'm not too happy about this as it is a worry to us that they might burst at any time even though the specialist doesn't seem to be worrying.

After that we went on holiday down to Devon.
We had booked a holiday for Roly and Lou at Woodford Bridge and they went down on the Saturday.
We had booked a week starting on Sunday at the same place but hadn't told them. When we arrived at their door they had a big surprise, luckily they were pleased to see us and we had a brilliant week.

Some highlights of the holiday

May Hello

I've not been on for a while so I have a great deal of catching up to do.

Healthwise, I've not been too well getting one virus after another. Roland is waiting for the results of a scan on his abdomen as the doctors have discovered he has 2 aneurisms.

The family are all well and growing.

These photos were taken on April 2nd 14 days after my birthday
Haven't they lasted well?

The last few days of the scavenger hunt

Two more pictures for the Blue brads Winter Photograph Hunt.
I will try and get one or two more before the 20th but most of the ones left need frost or snow and we are short of that here this year.

More scavenger hunt photos

I've not done a great deal this weekend except to look for photos for the scavenger hunt and a bit of decluttering

25. A House Number the same as my Birthday

I know an area in Preston where the doors are rather nice so we went hunting for my door number on one.
It was surprising how many streets didn't have enough houses to get to number 20, but we found one at last.

24. A hand addressed letter
I have sent off to Be-ro for 2 new baking books 1 for one of the grand daughters and another for my friend Borqna in Bulgaria. She loves cooking and I thought she might like to try a bit of British baking.

26. Fallen leaves Rustling
These leaves aren't very rustly any more they've been on the ground too long
These were outside our oldest daughters new flat
 Last but not least
and not for the scavenger hunt.
I just had to take more photos of these delicate crocuses
We have had them for many years and I don't remember when I last saw them opened like this because it usually rains on them and destroys them before they have opened out.
I think they are beautiful.

Friday 13th February

I never thought my dad was really superstitious but he hated Friday the 13th probably because  when he turned his car over many years ago it was on Friday 13th. I'm not sure what month it was but it was the Winter because he skidded on ice and ended up on the roof. I think he was lucky because he got out of the car with only bruises - the car was a right off.

I thought I would take these photos today as it has started to rain and these delicate crocuses are damaged by the rain every year.

We've also got some irises out
Roland picked Oliver up from school and he helped granddad make burgers for tea.

Last but not least
