Good Friday

A hectic week this week as we have had Jenny with Christopher and Alistair here from Sunday to Thursday.
The house has been full of fun, arguments and general noise but it has been lovely and I missed them so much when Roland took them home on Thursday.

Our Trip to Brockholes on Tuesday
Brockholes is a local nature reserve. The buildings are built on a floating platform on the lake.
The boys were fascinated with this but we had to keep a hold of Alistair as he nearly ran off the platform right into the lake - he is so quick.
The boys had a lunch box and they could choose 5 things to go in.
They chose a sandwich each, a drink, some jelly, some crisps and these huge biscuits.

Wednesday at Botany Bay
They went swimming in the morning then in the afternoon we went to Chorley
to visit an ice cream parlour in Botany Bay.
Next to Botany Bay ( a converted old mill) runs a canal.
The boys had never seen one before and were really interested in the towpath, especially when they saw people walking and cycling along it.
There were even some barges to peep into.
