Today I am feeling the most lucky nan in the world.
I can't remember what I have written about Roly and Louises awaited arrival.
Lou has problems carrying her babies and lost her first one, a little girl, Siobhan 2 days before she was due to be born.
Oliver was born by caesarean at 34 weeks as the placenta was coming away from the womb. He was in intensive care for a while but you wouldn't think so now.

Louise has been in hospital a couple of times as the amnio fluid level was dropping.
The second time was while we were on holiday. The doctor wanted to do the caesarean on the 18th as that was the best time for the baby.

Roly rang us on Sunday to say Louise was going to have a caesarean that day as the baby was getting distressed, then rang us later to say they were both doing well and the baby didn't need to be in an incubator. We, of course, couldn't wait to see them and went to the hospital tonight.
She is beautiful, weighs 6lbs 12 1/2 oz and is called Saoirse Niamh, a lovely Irish name
Aren't we a lucky family
