We went on from Jens to see our friends in West Cumbria
It was lovely to see them as we hadn't been for a while. They are kind of related as Chris is the brother of my first husband but we have stayed friends since we split up. When I met Roland they got on like a house on fire with him so we have kept friends ever since.
The weather was awful on the way over on Saturday but had cleared up by the time we arrived. As soon as we got there we went straight out again to a birthday party. One of Karen and Chriss' grandchildren was 2 so of we went to the farm to join in the celebrations.
The journey on Saturday over the fells
S is for Saturday and Sunday

Ravenglass Railway.
Plus a Singer sewing machine.
Laura, Karen and Chriss' daughter was given this by a neighbouring farmer whos' wife had died.
It needs some TLC before it can be used but it should go alright.
Sunday, we went for a walk as the weather wasn't too bad - we only got caught in one shower.
Ate lunch out in a pub in Boot then headed back to the house. A 4 mile walk - I've not walked that far in a long while especially as part of it was going over Muncaster Fell.
Love the pictures. The old Singer sewing machine brings back memories. My mom had one.
ReplyDeleteYour 1st photo is a good sum up of 3/4 of our holidays, LOL.
